Nathalie Migneault<\/strong>‘s work aspires to the global experience and appeals to all the senses in \u00ab\u00a0\u00c9coute ce que tu vois\u00a0! \u00bb <\/em><\/strong>a conceptual exhibition whose staging aims to discuss the unusual mechanisms of communication.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is the result of a critical analysis of the determining factors in the artistic practice of Nathalie Migneault, which is rooted in the need to understand and to be understood. She believes that the sound sequence of language is not enough to be understood. Her quest is inspired by her correspondence spanning over twenty years with her deaf grandmother. Generally speaking, we are influenced by our heritage. Our thoughts merge in a crash where words and time collide and merge before being organized into a message corresponding most to what defines us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artist presents her vibroacoustic quest. The corpus of the exhibition comprises three parts. On the one hand, eight to twelve paintings on wooden panels of identical format, i.e. 61 x 61 cm, will be hung on the wall. On the other hand, in the center of the room, surrounded by the paintings on the wall, three installations presented like sculptures. Two installations complete the exhibit, each of them presented in its own space thus enhancing the experience of the observer. All of this layout will allow visitors to appreciate the elements that make up the creative process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Baie-Comeau, Nathalie Migneault left Quebec’s North Shore in 1991 to travel across Canada and discover other countries. Back in Quebec in 2002, she settled on the South Shore of Montreal. Despite her many trips, her brushes and tubes of paint have always followed her. Her intellectual curiosity led her to pursue technical training until she obtained in 2016, a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Fine Arts.
