Attentive to the beauty of familiar and simple things, Isabelle Grondin draws from life: plant motifs, places, characters, and atmosphere, all being reorganized, reinvented and transposed into an hymn to life. Her preferred medium, for its undeniable sensitive and plastic qualities, is oil, more specifically the old technique of Rubens, namely glazing and optical colours.<\/p>\n\n
Isabelle Grondin is a multidisciplinary artist born in Montreal where she studied visual arts and obtained a Baccalaureate, then a Master’s Degree in creation at the University of Quebec in Montreal. She also did an internship in Italy. She created a public work of art as part of the Art and Architecture Integration Program.<\/p>\n\n
Her artistic work has been the subject of several solo and group exhibitions in Quebec. Some of her work is part of the Loto-Qu\u00e9bec collection, the Pr\u00eat d\u2019\u0152uvres d\u2019Art du Qu\u00e9bec, the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Contemporain de Montr\u00e9al and several other public and private collections. \n<\/p>\n\n
The artist now lives and works in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu in the Vall\u00e9e-du-Richelieu, Quebec.<\/p>\n\n
