Donation of the month

Each month we will present an object that has been generously donated to the Museum.

Here is the donation for the month of December 2025 !

In December, popular activities and celebrations often center around the holidays, particularly Christmas. This holiday brings people and families together with many traditions. Besides this, December is also a time for winter sports.

Who did not have a toboggan or a sledge when they were young? The traditional toboggan is made of wood slats withi a thin rope across the front to provide rudimentary steering.

Donated by Claire Lavoie and the McCord Museum.
