Let’s have a drink with Harry
The Beaulne Museum at the Norton Castle and its close neighbour the « Hop Station Microbrewery » located inside the train station of Coaticook, invite you to « Un verre avec Harry » (« Let’s have a drink with Harry ».)
This unique event on the occasion of the Museum’s 50th Anniversary, combines visual art and a tasting of samples of Irish and Japanese whiskey.
Harry Norton, art collector and philanthropist, and his father Arthur-Osmore boarded the Coaticook « Grand Trunk » at the train station that shuttled them between Montreal and Portland, Maine.During this tasting hosted by Tony Whisky, there will also be the launch of “The Jack Norton” beer brewed by the Hop Station.
The « Jack Norton" highlights two icons of Coaticook's heritage: Norton Castle and the Coaticook Train Station.
Jack or « cric » in French, refers to a major invention from Coaticook, the railway jack. Norton refers to the name of the castle housing the Museum and to the first owner, Arthur-Osmore Norton who marketed the railway jack throughout the world.
