Inhabiting the Presence
Marion Bacci
The exhibition comprises three sections, bringing together creations that share a common goal: to recenter nature at the heart of our lives and to re-establish a dialogue between the body, the imagination, and the living world. Through painting and drawing, the artist presents scenes where everyday life is permeated by poetic strangeness, slowness, and a form of instinctive spirituality.
The exhibition includes six paintings (two triptychs) and six drawings. Each series, in its own way, offers a reconnection with the living world—restoring to beauty the power to awaken, reconcile, and connect.
Marion Bacci explores painting with sensitivity and imagination, blending observation with a unique perspective on reality. Recently settled in the Eastern Townships, she draws from nature and silence a new way of listening to the body, space, and everyday events. Each canvas attempts to recount her fleeting visions, rekindle a forgotten attentiveness, and offer images that soothe, nourish, and restore access to a simple yet essential presence in the world, a presence that must be reclaimed.
